Christmas with the Powers

We got to spend a few days in Corsicana. I love going to my parents house! We went to the candleight service at FBC Corsicana. On Christmas Day, we delivered gifts to a family in Corsicana. My mom started a new tradition last year. She picks a family from her school to take presents to on Christmas Day. Jason and I missed out last year. This year we go to share in the experience. It was the perfect thing to do on Christmas Day. The family was so thankful and the cute kids were super excited.

Merry Christmas Ellie!!
Merry Christmas Jersey!!!

Uncle Lanny thought we should spend some time shooting skeet before dinner. My great aunt, Aunt Carolyn, even took a few turns. Great idea Uncle Lanny! It was fun!

Here are the cutest twins ever. We had so much fun playing with them. I love their sweet personalities.

Christmas with Kinnaird and Aune Family

We had Christmas in Paris with Jason's grandparents and his mom. We love getting to spend time with his grandparents and his mom. Thanks for having us and letting us stay at your house.

On Saturday, Mandy, Nabors, Amy, RW, Tanner, Tucker, Jason and I all headed to Rowlett for Christmas with his dad. We enjoyed spending time with Janice, Jace, Hunter, Hayley and Mr. Aune.

I loved watching them open their presents. They were so excited!!!

Tucker waiting for his turn to open another present...look at that adorable face!!

Tanner opening another present. He was more excited to tear the paper off of the present, than he was to see what was inside the present.

December Update - Christmas with Friends

The second weekend of December was packed with Christmas fun with our friends in McKinney. Friday night, we went to the Gaylord Texan for dinner and ICE. It was so much fun to see the amazing ice creatures. We had to wear big blue parkas since it was 9 degrees. I am still amazed that I sucked it up and dealt with the cold...it was worth it. Saturday night, we went to the Baller house for our Bible Fellowship Group Christmas Party. The food was great and we had lots of fun. The girls participated in an ornament exchange and the boys had a white elephant exchange. I got two adorable ornaments and Jason got a Nerf gun. We were both thrilled with the gifts that we got. Sunday night, we headed to Dallas with our small group. We ate dinner at Celebration and the went to the Meyerson to see the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Choir present The Stories of Christmas. It was the perfect weekend with friends!!!

Thanksgiving Break

We had a great Thanksgiving break. We enjoyed spending time with family and friends, decorating for Christmas, getting some Christmas shopping done, cleaning and organizing the house, and preparing for soccer season. We managed to spend time with family in Corsicana, Richardson, Paris, and Rowlett. On Wednesday, Mandy, Jason's sister, took pictures of Jeremy, Candace, James, Jason and me. I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.
The boys helped my dad put his new windmill together, while Candace, mom and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner.

New Kids On The Block

Here are a few pictures from New Kids On The Block. I took them from Jessica's and Melissa's blogs. We had dinner at the Grand Lux before the concert. We had so much fun singing the old songs. I still have them stuck in my head.

We had a great waiter and I loved my huge salad.

We got to the concert early so that we would not miss anything.
Here is a picture of the concert. You can't really see anything, but I promise it was a blast. The opening act was a little crazy, but entertaining to say the least. I was very impressed with the New Kids. I am so glad that I had the chance to see them in concert since I never got to go when I was little. My mom still does not understand why we all love them.
