Jason, Kenny and Adrian

Jason, Kenny and Adrian

Here is another picture from the banquet. Kenny plays for FC Dallas. Jason has really enjoyed getting to know him. Adrian is Jason's assistant coach. Jason loves working with Adrian. I am sure he will accept a head coach in the next few years. I love Katie, Adrian's wife. We enjoy spending time with them. Katie is the girl's assistant coach at CHS.

CHS Soccer Banquet

We went to the CHS Titan Boys Soccer Team Banquet last week. The banquet was great! Kenny Cooper, a FC Dallas soccer player, was the guest speaker. He was awesome at talking to the kids and motivating them to push themselves. Jason always does a great job talking about the team and handing out awards. It is so much fun to see kids honored for their accomplishments. I was entertained the majority of the night by the players...I think they were overwhelmed by the formal dinner presentation and did not know how to act. Of course I forgot my camera, so I am going to have to get more pictures from the parents. Here is one picture that a mom sent me today. Jason is excited about next year, but it is always sad to see the seniors move on, along with the helpful parents. Good luck Titan Seniors!

I have been tagged...

I have been tagged...thanks Ericka!!

I get to share seven things about myself that you probably do not know. I hope this is not boring...I am not the most exciting person. Here are seven things about me in random order.

1. I can't stand for my ankles to touch. I have always been paranoid that someone would be waiting under my bed or car. I have this fear that someone is going to reach out and grab them. Since I was in middle school, I have kept storage boxes under my bed and I always check under the car before I walk up close. All of my friends laugh when we go to the movies because I sit with my legs in the chair.

2. I was born into a family of rice farmers. When I was six, my dad quit farming to start ranching. In high school, I showed hogs through 4-H and FFA. My did loved every minute of it. I enjoyed it, except when I had to walk the hogs. They are so stubborn!

3. I absolutely love to organize things. When I was in school, my mom paid me in the summers to organize her house. I was crazy. I would draw diagrams to help everyone know where to put things...my sister still makes fun of me. If you every need to organize something, call me and I will help.

4. I was supposed to attend Hawaii Pacific University for my junior and senior year. After September 11th and a cheerleading injury, my parents made me stay in Texas. I was very disappointed my first semester at A&M but I learned to love College Station. It just proves that God has a better plan than you can every imagine.

5. I love, love, love pickles and Mexican food...but not together. I could eat Mexican food everyday! I also love pickled carrots, pickled green beans, pickled asparagus and pickled okra too...I am sure you are thinking gross!!

6. My first teaching job was Robotics. What a nightmare! We built robots out of Legos and programmed them to move. Did you know each Lego has a name...crazy!

7. I blow in my straws before I drink out of them to make sure I don't swallow bugs. Jason has always thought this was strange but I guess he learned to live with it.

That was fun! I am sure you are either falling asleep due to boredom or laughing about how strange I am. I will tag people soon. Sadly, I am not sure I can find seven that have not been tagged...I think I need to expand my blog network. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Easter Weekend

My parents, brother and sister came to McKinney for Easter. It was good to have my family here. We all went to church and then ate lunch at our house. I enjoyed cooking lunch for everyone. My family loved First Baptist McKinney. I love family time!!

Jessica Simpson

Jason met Jessica Simpson on Saturday. He was very excited to get his picture taken and to get her autograph. It was his first famous person to meet. The best part is I got a new pair of Jessica Simpson shoes, that he picked out, a white bag and a free silver clutch. She was at Stonebrair Mall in Frisco promoting her clothing, shoe and handbag lines.

IT SNOWED!!!!

This past Tuesday and Thursday it snowed. My students were thrilled. Friday we had a late start to the school day, which was perfect. I would rather save our snow days for a fun day in the spring. I loved driving around and looking at the houses. Everything is beautiful when it is covered in snow. I think I saw the biggest snowflakes that I have ever seen on Thursday. Amazing!! Ellie was not to sure about the snow. She walked around in it for at least 10 minutes because she could not find a good place to go to the bathroom. We had to stick her in the bath tub because she had snow frozen to all of her legs and her belly. Poor Ellie!!

Our house covered in snow!!!

I love the white blanket of snow.

It snowed such much that the snow stayed on the road. This is looking down our street.

The Backyard

The Trampoline...thank goodness for the trampoline because it left grass for Ellie to stand on.

Ellie trying to figure out what is going on.

Ellie in her parka...haha...Jason hates dog clothes.
I had to get it because it was $5 at Old Navy.
It was on of those impulse buys at the register. Oops!!!
